WW1 RFC Pilots Flying Log Book & Scroll & Photo

Original Royal Flying Corps pilots flying log book, named on the front ‘Geo S. Wood 2nd Lieut, R.F.C’

The log starts on December 18th 1916and there are 16 pages of entries ending in July 1917, the last pages entries reads;

Machine type - Titan? Time 30 min, height 5000 ‘1st trip in France’, Titan - 60 mins, 8000, formation, Titan 15 mins, 600, forced landing didn’t break anything, Titan 15 mins, 600, Hector, 40 mins, Good landing, Pluto, 60 mins 10,000, Felt a bit gaspy due to the height - bomb raid, Pluto, 3 hours, 8000, absolutely woozy, Line patrol got lost and had to make landing - beginning to get dark, crashed rather badly’. This probably ended his war, he served again in WW2 but was killed, with this log book is his commemorative scroll from WW2 named to Major G.S Wood Corps of Royal Engineers plus an original photo of him in Royal Engineers uniform with his RFC wings on his uniform in the photo
